Die Gesellschaftssatire PARASITE gewinnt nicht nur als Bester Internationaler Film (der erste für Süd-Korea), sondern auch als Bester Film - das ist das erste Mal und Oscar-Geschichte. Dazu kommen noch Beste Regie und Bestes Drehbuch (der erste für Asien). Die Oscars für die Darsteller gingen an Joaquin Phoenix für JOKER, Renée Zwellweger für JUDY, Laura Dern für MARIAGE STORY und Brad Pitt für ONCE UPON A TIME... IN HOLLYWOOD.
